The short version

MouseGestures does not collect, store, sell or share any personal data. There is no tracking, no analytics and no account. Nothing is ever sent to us or to any other server.

What is stored, and where

Settings (your gestures, per-site gestures, disabled sites and preferences) are saved with your browser's built-in storage. If sync is turned on in your browser, it syncs them to your other devices through your own browser account. We never have access to them.
Statistics (optional, off by default) count which gestures you use. They are stored only locally on your computer, are never synced or sent anywhere, and can be reset at any time in the settings.

Uninstalling the extension removes all of this data from your browser.

Permissions and why they're needed

Access to all websites

So gestures, super drag and wheel gestures work on every page, and so "Copy image" can load images from other sites. Page content is never read for any other purpose, stored or sent anywhere.

To close, open, switch, duplicate, pin and mute tabs when you use a gesture.

sessions

To reopen recently closed tabs.

storage

To save your settings and optional statistics in your browser.

downloads

To save images when you use the "Save image" gesture.

Third parties

The extension contains no third-party trackers, ads or analytics. When you use super drag to search for text, the search is opened on the search engine you chose (Google by default), whose own privacy policy applies.
